Thanksgiving Pictures at Lake Junaluska

We had a clan for Thanksgiving lunch! Lake Junaluska is a beautiful community in Maggie Valley and perfect for taking pictures too!

Baby Rachel

One tomato down and already a seed and stain on her shirt

She loves her Gangy. Loves him!

Connor, Kara, Rachel and Logan
Sid and his family
EEEK! She is so silly. Love her.
The Hortons!
She did not want me to take her picture. Understood.
There was a mallard in the lake and she thought it was so funny talking "mallard".
Oh the silver boots... so sparkly

S'mores

The chiminea came in handy during our trip.  The weather fluctuated from the mid 30s to mid 40s at night so it was perfect having it when it was cold.  We roasted s'mores and I don't know who was more excited, Daddy or Connor.  Justin hadn't had one since he was a kid so he was eager to roast that marshmallow.

I think she was in heaven

Reading to Daisy

Just sitting and watching football and looked down... She melts my heart.

Hortons Build a Fire

And a fire we did build!

We gathered our sticks...
and gathered some more...
Walked back up the driveway with them all so that Gangy could start our fire
Connor really didn't know what to expect. It was really sweet.

So much went into our fire, she had tired out!

Best. Fire. Ever. Can't wait to make s'mores!

I am Thankful

Can you see the happiness in our faces?  This is my family and I will be forever thankful.

Thanksgiving in Maggie Valley: Take TWO

We played at the park with our cousin Rachel. Molly and I took the girls to the park so they could play and we could spend some time chatting. The weather up here is beautiful.

Connor and I were able to get out of the house for a bit which was great because I could tell we were both getting a little bit of cabin fever.

Christmas in Maggie Valley: Take 1

We went to see Santa in downtown Waynesville yesterday and had so much fun! The Santa we saw at Mast General store was awesome. One of the locals we met said he stays "Santa" all year round. The town refers to him as Santa even when he is in normal garb. Anyway, Connor was apprehensive at first but it didn't take long for her to warm up.

She just loves Kara and Logan and was excited when finally all got take her picture with Santa and her cousins.

Friendsgiving 2012

Every year our friends get together for a thanksgiving feast and it is delicious! It's great to catch up with everyone and watch the kids play too. Hoping one year we can host; must have a little bit bigger house though...

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
