My Most Cherished

These two are my heart, our heart. They are our absolute happiness. I remember when Connor used to always cross her feet...

And I absolutely love watching Connor read. We are working with her with reading and most often she " doesn't want to read right now". Caught this today. We are making strides!

Parenthood could not have been any more fun, loving or questionable. We love our little babes!

Connor Loses her First Tooth!

So exciting and so so sad. My little girl is growing up. She has been waiting, which seems like forever, to lose a tooth. We even went to the dentist a month ago and she said, "it's going to be a little while. Maybe August?"

She was CRUSHED! That's all she talked about for a week. "Well, maybe one come out even if there isn't an adult tooth underneath."

She was biting down in her bagel (which is what this child eats EVERY DAY for breakfast) and she bit down too hard. It loosened her tooth. Holy cow was she excited! I have been trying to  tell her not to force it to loosen more because it really wasn't meant to come out. Those conversations did not stop her. I picked this smiling girl up from school today and she told me (while talking with her mouth closed) that she had a great surprise.

The kid pulled it out. It didn't fall out on its own. She was so eager to have a missing tooth!

We had to celebrate! We got home and had a bowl of ice cream!

She asked tonight if she should find a brick to out right at the edge of her pillow so that it would be easier for the tooth fairy to get her hand under there without waking her. I just love my child. She keeps us laughing, on our toes and also unconsciously grounds us. This time with her is just so much fun!

Now to see if this tooth fairy can get her big hand under her pillow without waking her up. She couldn't find a brick...
