November has come and GONE!

I love the month of December because I spend all month dreaming about the time off I am going to have with my family for Christmas and New Years. This year it is extra special because Connor is with us. Justin's mom (Meme) bought Connor a 'Baby's First Christmas' ornament so we had to take pictures of her hanging it.

We are working on a stocking for Connor. I am still trying to decide what route I want to take. I am interested in getting all three that match but think it might be better to wait until next Christmas when I have time to get them in. I thought about it too late this year.

Thanksgiving

This year we had a great big family dinner at my parents' house. I was a little nervous because there were going to be so many people but it worked out just perfect. The sun was out so that meant that we could all spread out. There were a total of 43 of us and the majority of that total actually slept at my parents' house. It was so fun. Connor loved it and especially loved all the attention.

Connor loves to put her hands in her mouth and has just recently started sucking her left thumb. We will see if it actually sticks. I hope not! Hopefully it is just a teething thing that she likes to do when her teeth are bothering her. We will see.

This is my family that was at Thanksgiving. There were four more adults and two infants that were not pictured because they were extended family that were helping with the big picture. Whew!

We dressed the girls in the same dress and tried to get pictures. The pictures came out pretty good, considering. Here are a couple of pictures from the big event. Below is Connor and my cousin, Emily.

Kendall and Juliette are the BEST cousins EVER!

Kendall and Juliette are really fond of Connor. They love playing with her and do a great job of keeping her entertained. Here is a clip of how easy it is for Juliette to make her laugh. The funniest part of the whole clip is that Juliette was not even doing anything that was funny. Too cute...

Not crawling but I sure LOVE to swing at the park

So much has been happening! I have not blogged in a while and I want to make sure that I include everything so bare with me...

Connor is actually not crawling yet. She is pretty good at scooting though. Everyone keeps saying only one more week but it has now been about a month and we only got three "crawling steps"

Connor is actually not crawling yet. She is pretty good at scooting though. Everyone keeps saying only one more week but it has now been about a month and we only got three "crawling steps". So, we don't know what will happen. I am just going to say that she will be crawling within the month. That way I do not feel the need to rush her and I am also not constantly being reminded that it is taking her this long to "get it". If she doesn't every crawl, it will be no problem to me. I just see that she is so close!

Connor loves eating. She is now eating cut up sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, green beans and of course her puffs and teething biscuits. When I sit with her in the back (yes we still do this because she just is not a good traveler, especially on long trips) I will give her a teething biscuit. Take a look at how happy she is!

She has been to the park a lot lately. My mom and dad take her when she is with them during the week and Justin will try and take her too when the weather is nice. She loves the swing. She will sit in as long as you will let her which is about 15 minutes. I would say the park is uneventful because you put her in the swing and then there is nothing else to do so you leave. Regardless, she loves it!

We went to the neurologist to find out that the episodes that Connor was having were random and unexplainable. Her doctor told us that her EEG came back totally normal. AWESOME! We were so excited and so relieved. He told us that he wanted to continue to watch Connor closely and see her back in another month. So, Justin will take her back in December for a follow up and that will HOPEFULLY be the last time we see him. She hasn't had an episode in almost two weeks so we are hoping that the end is here!

I am going to begin taking more pictures of Connor today so that I can update as to what she is doing new. I hope to be able to upload a video of her crawling or giving kisses!

We are also looking forward to seeing all our family for Thanksgiving. It will be busy but totally enjoyable! We hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving spending quality time with those who love you the most. Relax!

Connor Scooting

We think that Connor will be crawling soon! She gets up on her hands and feet, not knees yet, and will then go down to her belly and scoot. The scooting is so cute so we just had to capture it on video! She is so darn cute and makes us laughcnstantly!

Connor's Update

Last Sunday we took Connor to the ER for what looked like seizures. Her arms would go up straight into the air and she would shake while clenching her fists. It scared Justin and I so much. The spells happened about 10-12 times within an hour that night so we called the on-call nurse. She advised us to go to the ER just in case.

We went to the ER and the doctor deemed them as tonic episodes which are basically unexplained seizures. A couple of things that concerned her were the frequency of the seizures and also the fact that she had an episode while she was sleeping. I would assume she was concerned about that because if Connor was sleeping and did it then it would be an involuntary movement and not caused by frustration or anger. Dr. Mills referred us to Pediatric neurologists of Atlanta. The practice is through Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta and they are great.

We went to get her EEG (electroencephalogram) yesterday and Connor had another "seizure". It was a little reassuring for the nurse to see it and be alarmed because it helped us not feel that we were going crazy and blowing this whole thing out of proportion. Of course she was not yet fully hooked up to the test so we didn't get an actual reading. Justin did ask the tech if she saw anything and we were pleased that she said that she didn't really notice anything abnormal. YEAH! So, we go next Thursday to meet with the actual neurologist to review her EEG and for him to look into it further. I am SOOO looking forward to getting clearance from him next week. This has been a terrifying week and we would like to see it end.

I will keep you all posted! Keep praying for us!

Oh! My camera has been dead so I will post new pictures soon. Connor is working on her fourth tooth!

Connor's New Game

This might be so silly for some people but I know that my family that does not get to see Connor too often will appreciate it. She started playing this game about a month ago and is getting better and better at it. It is cute but we might need to stop playing with her because she is going to wind up doing this with food in her mouth.

So many babies!

I am so excited because I have four friends that are pregnant. It is so neat to watch someone else go through this special and amazing experience. What is so much fun is that two of my friends are due any day! Renee will be induced Monday if little Baby Cupcake doesn't come before then. I have to get that spaghetti casserole ready for them! I can 't wait to meet him and learn his name. I hate secrets!

My other friend, Jen, is due any day and is also having a boy. I saw her today in the grocery store and flashed back to how I felt when I was 39 weeks pregnant. WHHEW! I loved being pregnant but am glad that I am not right now! She is having a water birth and going natural so she is going to wait out the whole pregnancy. She must not have a problem with pain; I can't even think about it! I think I just threw up in my mouth thinking about the amount of agony she will be going through.

Kate is going to have a little baby girl n March which I am so excited about because she and Will currently have Lawrence, a rambunctious two year old so adding a little girl to the mix will be so fun! She doesn't have to worry about little girl clothes for the first 9 months!

Elizabeth and Jay are having a baby in May and this will be their first. They will be finding out the sex soon. So fun and so many babies!

Halloween

We went up to Justin and Kristin's house and guess what... I forgot Connor's costume. One of the main reasons of going up there was to take the girls around the neighborhood. Geez! Anyway, it worked out because Kaitlyn had Halloween pajamas so I just kept Connor in her Halloween onesie and tights. It was a nasty night anyway so taking them out would have been a difficult thing to do. We gave the girls the candy bowl and it was so cute to see them play with it. Enjoy!
