A Weekend Bills Fan

We have wonderful neighbors, all of them.  We are all great friends and hang out at least once every weekend and a couple of days during the week, outside while the dogs play.  We have one set of friends, Nick and Melissa, who are from Buffalo.  They met down here and soon realized that they grew up 20 minutes away from each other when in Buffalo.  Crazy huh?  Anyway, they went up there last weekend and picked Connor up a surprise.  Is it not just adorable?  I told them that we did not have any problem with her wearing her Bills dress on Sundays, as long as they continue to invite us over for their fabulous wings.  I had to take a couple of pictures of Connor with Nick showing off her Buffalo colors:

Justin and I are so thankful for our neighbors and I know Connor cannot get enough of their hugs and kisses.  Thanks again, Melissa and Nick!

You are 18 Months Old...

wow.  You know what I am about to say. I cannot believe it.  As I am blogging, you are pitching a "fit" because daddy will not let you take a picture with mommy's camera.  The only reason that we don't really want you holding the camera is because we didn't want you to drop the camera... and you just did.  Ooops.  It is still ok.

What are you doing now...

New things you say: you have been much better at trying all words that we ask you to try.  I have noticed that you are now talking a little more "giberish".  It is interesting because about 25-30 words have been part of your vocabulary for about two months now so hearing you talk you "talk" but in sentences is pretty cool. 

You have your blank and your pink teddy that you go to sleep with every night.  You don't take a paci when you are at daycare (mommy and daddy still give you your paci when you sleep at home).  The only reason we do that is because we never intended on you giving up your paci this early and when you are at home you know you can have it to help you feel better... for now.  When your little cousin Matthew comes, you will be giving all your pacis to him so you can be a big girl.  You don't know this yet but I am sure that you will do fine because of your success at daycare.

You now actually say water instead of "wa wa" and Oscar instead of "oca".  When you say thank you it is now starting to sound a little less like "dadddee". 

You love your daycare.  It took a little while for you to get adjusted but you were a big girl and adapted pretty well.  You sleep on a mat at daycare.  Daddy and I cannot believe it.  Daddy actually went to pick you up early last week and was amazed at all the little babies fast asleep on their mats, butts up in the air.

You love to color and enjoy doing so with markers.  I think you will be right handed although sometimes you use your left hand.

You are still not wonderful in the car.  By this, I mean that you do not like to be in the back by yourself.  When you are in the car you get really bored really easily.  When you are at home, you are fine.  Whenever you really start to whine we sing our "ABCs" and you sway back and forth and sing a long with us.

You are precious.  You have the ability to light up a room without saying a word.  Not everyone can do that, little girl.  You are so special and we continue to cherish everyday. 

"Go Go Go"

this is what Connor says whenever she sees a football game being played on t.v. or even when she hears the word mentioned in a conversation.  It is so funny because it doesn't matter who is playing, she chants.  Soon she will be chanting, "Gooooo Dawgs!  Sic 'em!"  My neighbor's mother made this precious outfit for her and made it so she can grow into it and hopefully be able to wear it next year.

As you can see, I rolled the pants a couple of times but can't wait for her to be able to wear it next season!

It is all about who you know

My cousin Tiffany's fiance, Robi, is in Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus!  His act is with his two horses and it is SO cool to watch!  This was the first time Connor has been to the circus and was a little apprehensive at first but quickly warmed up to the loud music and flames.  Robi's act was awesome.  I don't know how they do all the back tucks and juggling at the same time.  It was really cool to watch and even better getting to go backstage after the show to see the elephants eating a snack and even getting to ride the horses!

When Tiffany and Robi went to NY for the show over the summer, they met "The Cake Boss" that is on TLC.  He made a cake topper of Robi out of fondant and they are saving it in the freezer for his birthday.  Cool huh?

Most of the girls enjoyed the horses.  What a treat to see the stars and their animals outside of the circus. 

 Awesome job, Robi!  We can't wait to see your acts again!  Thanks for treating us to such a special treat! You and Tiff are awesome!

Ga State's First Football Game

The experience was awesome.  We tailgated for about an hour before the game and then stayed until the end of the first quarter (it was 8:30 and the little girl was tired).  I was just looking around in disbelief.  I was so excited for the school and also the students.  I just wish we would have had this same experience when we were all in school.  We have a band now!  And they sound really good!  Anyway, we scored on our first ever football team, our first ever football game, our first ever drive.  Pretty cool way to start this endeavor.  We will definitely be going back, sans baby so we can stay a little longer. :)
