Independance Day

Boy was it a busy weekend!  It is fun having busy weekends every once in a while and we were ready for this one!  Saturday we went to the Peachtree Road farmers market and went to the pool with some old neighbors. Connor enjoyed "running" around the farmers market.  She is such a performer, especially when she knows she has someone's attention.

Yesterday we went to Jay and Elizabeth's apartment to go to the pool and cookout.  We also got to see Tuttle who is getting big.  Connor enjoyed herself, once again.

The Girls get their Pictures Taken

We took the girls to get their picture taken.  It was a present to my mom for her birthday and we wanted to wait until summer so there was some time between the last set of pictures we had done of Connor in April.  The girls did great (not something that we expected) and my mom was extremely happy.

It is so neat how they are growing up together and how much Kendall and Juliette take care of Connor now.  They both play the role of big sister to her and it is so cute.  It is also neat to see how our little families are expanding.  Kerri is due in December and we are excited about the new addition!  I am hoping for a boy so that he will mix things up a bit! :)

Connor's mouth is ALWAYS a mess.  ALWAYS!  I sometime forget to wipe it after snack and this is what I find:

OOPS!

A Sick little Girl

Connor got her shots yesterday (which seemed like 100 of them!) and it has hit her pretty hard.  Poor thing is always smiling but not last night and surely not today.  We have been pumping her with tylenol and motrin and hoping that she is better tomorrow so she can go to gymnastics.  Poor baby.

Graduation AND Father's Day!

We had a big day yesterday!  It was Justin's 2nd Father's Day and I graduated with my masters degree!  My family and Justin's family came to my graduation and then came back to our house to celebrate with good food and cake!  I love spending time with our families.  We all (mine and Justin's family) mesh well and have so much fun together.  I am including some pictures that help to chronicle our day!

A couple of pictures with my family...

This is Connor giving love to all the daddies in her life, even her god father, Uncle Shane.

There is a first time for everything!  She loves sweet tea and asked multiple people to share that didn't realize that she had been drinking so much already!

It was a great day.  What a way to celebrate Father's Day.  I love you honey and you are truley the best daddy to our little girl.  We love you so much!

The Little Girl...

is 15 months old!  Time flies by! The things that you are doing ...

++ you say "welcome" without being prompted (supposed to be thank you)
++ you blow bubbles in the water
++ you are officially a climber and a runner
++ you yell for doodle when we take him outside
++ you are getting much more comfortable with your forward rolls
++ you wave at everyone
++ you still call any man daddy, even if he happens to be a stranger checking his blood pressure at Kroger
++ you love pasta and potatoes
++ you understand when we ask you do things (go give that to daddy)
++ you clean up really well ( I hope you don't lose this ability)
++ You sleep until 8 am
++ you pick out your own story books to be read to you
++ you still love sesame street!
++ whenever you see a truck you say, "truck"

AND... you are always smiling!

Just another Day at the Pool

We went to the pool again today!  We usually go in the morning but today we gymnastics so we went with our neighbor this afternoon!  Connor really does love the water and I am so thankful because I love the pool!  We haven't ever taken the girls this late but it worked out really well.  It got us out of the house during the afternoon (when it is kind of rough at the Horton household) and back home just in time for dinner, bath and bedtime!

She is infatuated with this spigot.  Every time we come through the front door, she checks it out.
