The Hills Hit Atlanta

We hate that the Hills live so far away but love when they visit home and are extremely thankful that their families still live in Atlanta.  Maybe in the near future we can take a trip to Montana!

This post is LONG overdue but nevertheless important.

Aren't they just so darn cute?  These girls have grown up with each other and they love to spend time together.

Chicken 'n Ribs 2012

Jason and Rachel coordinate with Jason's birthday every year to smoke meat all day long, eat and spend time with friends. We love all our friends and are extremely thankful for the memories they help create.

The story of the Highlander with all kids and Dads and no moms is... Basically Kate and I took advantage of the boys taking the kids early so we could hang back and actually have an adult conversation. It worked to our advantage because they all left about.an hour early to play their little hearts out and Kate and I were able to really catch up. Great times and like always, with great friends!

Choosing our Battles

If she wants to wear a winter coat in 90 degree weather the go right ahead. Don't forget the matching hat!

When I was a Baby

Connor's homework assignment was to pick out one picture of her as a baby and bring it back to school to share. Did it surprise me that she wanted to take six? Not at all.

Soccer 2012

Connor starts soccer this fall and her Grandma and Grandpa jumped at the chance to buy her her first soccer ball and a new soccer outfit.

I'm not too sure what Oscar thinks. We usually buy soccer balls for him.

We Just LOVE Birthday Parties!

Especially when they are at the pool!  Kayla's birthday was at the pool this weekend and we were super exited to go.  What was even better was that there were three girls from Connor's and Kayla's class at school!  Connor hasn't been to school all summer so she loved "catching up" and playing with Madison, June and Maurecio. It looks as if she will enjoy going back to school next week.  We'll see!

Madison, June and Connor:

Cake might be the only reason we come to birthday parties...

Rylie, Kayla's sister, sitting with the big girls:

Yes, this is the birthday girl.  This is what she did pretty much the whole time we were there!  Laura called later to say that Kayla had 103 degree fever so this explains it.  Thankful Connor didn't get sick!

Happy Birthday, Kayla!
