Whitaker turns Two!

We had such a great time at his birthday. I cannot believe my little man is two. He is so awesome and fun to be around. He is talking uncontrillably and his school teacher said "he is a genius" at his parent/teacher conference! We have another smart one!!

Whit is TWO!

This little boy has stolen our hearts.he keeps us on our toes, he is funny and he is such a sweet little boy. We were actually able to celebrate his birthday on his birthday this year and boy did we have a blast! Enjoy the pictures.

Potty training! He goes on the potty regularly and tells us at least one time a day that he has to go!

He is working on speaking in full sentences and his favorite words are "home" and "down". When he says them he sounds British

We couldn't be more proud. He is a joy and completes our awesome family!

Birthday Boy Comin' Up!

Two! He is going to be two tomorrow. I cried the whole time I was doing our bedtime ritual. My last baby will be two tomorrow.

Fun Day at the Park with some of our Favorite People

I love impromptu playdates! All of our friends are so special to us and the memories we share will last a lifetime. Whit and I met with Frannie, her mom and Beckett at the park today. We were talking about how in the next six months these boys will be having so much fun together. I can't believe how much Beckett has grown! You have to pause to enjoy your moments because time is so fast-paced!

Reading to Baby

This picture captures my heart. Connor just recently started reading, for real. She likes to read as long as the selection is easy (we're working on building her confidence). She LOVES  to read to Whit.  Loves it. And he has finally gotten to the point to sit and listen, especially if it is his absolute favorite book. Look at my big girl!

At the Skate Park: Part ONE

Little girl entered this skate park today with absolutely every worry in her mind. She told me, "Mommy, I am the only girl here and I am the only one with a pink helmet." I wanted to scream in her face and tell her that change is made this way. Change will start with you in your world. Mommy and Daddy will be here to support you. We have your back! 

I have NEVER seen her so uncertain. It really hurt because I knew what was going through her head. She hasn't ever been put into a situation that she had to prove to herself, to only her. 

Everything comes so naturally to this kid. We coached her... And coached her. She just watched.

Finally, she asked if I would take her to the slope with the the least incline and I was extatic! 

We could tell that she was ready. And she had so much damn fun. It was amazing to witness our little girl overcome one of her fears, stepping into a situation the what she knew nothing about. She conquered and we are so proud!

On the way home, Justin and I both told her that today is even more of a reason why you should go and try your best.

My Sugar Baby

This boy really knows how to have a lot of fun and I hope he continues with his little spit-fire, confident, loud little self into adulthood. He is a cuddler and a talker, curious, funny and a finder-out of all things. Wants to make sure everything is working properly and also will stop to hug and kiss you to make sure you're feeling okay. My handsome little boy whom I couldn't imagine not in my life. Pictures tell a story about him:

My Favorite Girl Starts 1st Grade!

I just can't believe it. She is so ready to start a new year and so ready to learn more. I cannot tell you how much joy and happiness this little human being brings me. Absolutely no words. 

Kayla is in her class year.  We are hoping for a great year! 

4th of July 2015

We always go to Cloumbus for the 4th. Always. We all didn't make it down there this year and as I write this post I am reminded of how much my family means to me and how much fun we have when we are together. Dad picked Connor up Friday  (thank goodness because at the time we didn't realize we wouldn't be going) and we took Whit to the doctor. Strep. Again. This tiny human hasn't been in daycare so I don't know how he got it but he did. 

I was sad. My whole family is down in Columbus having fun, laughing, enjoying each other and we are stuck in Atlanta with nothing to do but get this little boy healthy again. I sware, he can't catch a break. 

Dad took Connor with him and with the help of Aunt Kerri and Aunt Cheryll,  she has been aw to have a blast! Under the circumstances, I wouldn't want it any other way!

Back at home... Whit has strep.

That was yesterday. We took him to an after hours pediatrician and got an antibiotic quick! Gave it to him immediately and then gave it to him again  earlier this evening just so he wouldn't be contagious anymore. We were ready (to take it slow) and go to Reese and Krystal's house to celebrate for a bit. Little human had a great time and I think he loved just being out of the house!

All in all, we wound up having a great time today. I really hate Connor is not with us but we rest in the fact that she is having a blast with her family!
