Wow has time flown by!

I have gotten the idea from a couple of friends that the best way to keep up with each other and their families is to blog. So, Justin and I are going to try it for a while. If we get used to it, then when the baby gets here, you can all watch her grow through the pictures and updates we post!

Where are the Horton's now?

Well, I am already 22 weeks pregnant! Can you believe this? I can't! I have been feeling CEH kick for about 3 weeks now and absolutely love every bit of it. Justin felt her for the first time last week and was so excited. It is just so amazing to think about what is happening inside. I was told that it is going to be a lot of fun when she starts to get bigger because we then will be trying to figure out what body part we see poking out! If she is kicking this much now then I have no idea how it is going to feel in a couple of weeks when she starts to run out of room.

We are about the size of a spaghetti squash. Have you ever seen a spaghetti squash, let alone eaten one? Well Baby "C" is that long, about 11 inches. She can hear now and I am sure is getting a kick out of her daddy singing his crazy songs to her. We haven't started reading to her, only because I don't think she would be interested in Middlesex, the book I am currently reading. I did buy from our school book fair a book in English with Spanish words attached to read to her when she gets here. It is my personal experiment to see if she has the same learning disability as her daddy: inability of learning a foreign language. I will keep you all posted about that...

Now on to the boring parents: There is no real news about me other than what was typed above so I will move on to Justin. Justin is doing really well with school. He just found out that his proposal to write a chapter for an upcoming book on the TV show Friday Night Lights has been accepted! It should be published in Fall 2009 or early 2010 if all goes according to plan. We are both so excited. He also was accepted to a conference in New Orleans to present a paper that he wrote last spring. If he does well there, he will hopefully be given the option to publish another paper. So, like I said, he is loving being in school and has discovered that he is really good at what he does. Yeah honey!

I think that is all for now. We are looking forward to going to Maggie Valley for Thanksgiving with Justin's family. I can't wait to relax and see the snow!
