Her Furry Cousins and Brother...

love her so much.  They love her so much that we keep them outside when she is down on the floor because they love to give kisses.  She enjoyed watching them through the door.  Gavin and Georgia, her cousins, stay at my mom and dad's house for extended periods of time and we bring Oscar whenever we go too.  He loves his cousins just as much as Connor does.  A win win situation!

To the right is Connor giving Georgia a kiss through the glass.

Look at that Smile!

I did it.  I signed Connor up for the Beautiful Baby contest promoted by Regis and Kelly.  I had to do it because I have always said, for years now, that when I have a  child I would love to submit a picture so that everyone could see how adorable my child was!  (I was assuming that I would only have cute children).

This is the picture that I uploaded to the contest.  Let's see what happens!  And please do not think that I want to put her into modeling.  Absolutely not.  This was just for fun!

The actual picture is just a picture of her face; not the rest of the stuff surrounding her.  I will let you all know when I need the votes (March 1, 2010).

Coming to a close...

It seems that all I have had on my brain lately was the fact that I am finished with my classes next Tuesday.  I cannot believe this.  AHH!  I feel bad because I have been so consumed with my school work that I have gotten very little time to play with Connor.  My sister said that Connor will not remember this time (obviously) and will not be phased by it either which I am happy about.  I cannot wait to get back to the normal life doing those normal things that I currently do not have time for.  Is it sad that I can't wait to be able to come home to my house and clean?  Well I can't!

For graduation I told Justin that I didn't want anything except someone to come to my house and clean it one good time.  And maybe dinner out, of course.

There is a book in  my bedroom that I have been staring at for a month now.  Every time I pass by it I say that it will not be long until I get to read for pleasure again!  That time is coming soon and this portion of my life is coming to a close...

Woohoo!

Should I be Proud?

I have never been under so much stress.  From when I was in college to now, I haven't ever had as many deadlines to meet nor obstacles to overcome.   My graduate degree is coming to a close. I can't believe it.  I really cannot believe that the last two years of writing papers until two in the morning, checking papers, doing research and concluding my ARP is almost done. It is almost over and I will not get paid anymore than what I am currently earning.  I have worked so hard and have only the degree to show for it.  I love it all the same because I know that I have traveled far and learned new things.  My degree makes me a better and more experienced person.   I am waiting to receive my diploma and hang it on the wall.

Happy 10 Month Birthday, Little girl!

I am in disbelief that Connor is 10 months old.  I am so sad!  I was thinking today that I didn't want her to grow up. I want her to stay in this little body of hers.  I have a feeling that she is going to grow into a little me.  This scares me because I wasn't the easiest child to raise.  We will persevere!  I am dedicated to raising a well-mannered, balanced and confident little girl and will not stop short of accomplishing this task. I am determined!

She is doing so much now and has us laughing all the time! She has the best little personality.  She laughs at herself and talks to herself A LOT!  I am sure that is from me...  When you ask her what a doggy says, she woofs and it is hilarious!  She knows how big she is (SOO BIG with her arms up beside her head).  She has been clapping for a month now and has crawling down pat.  She learned how to climb the stairs (gates are coming) and goes 60 miles an hour chasing Oscar in her walker.  Oh and she likes dog food.  She makes this face that indicates that she is fond of the taste so we really have to watch her; she will grab three to four pieces and crawl on.  So silly.

I went through old pictures and chose a few to post so I can remind everyone of how the once petite and fragile little girl has turned into a rough and tumble almost one year old!

Wasn't she just adorable!  She was so fragiletoo and I cannot believe I wasn't nervous with her.  I just jumped right in! Here's one last Happy 10 Month Birthday to my sweet little baby girl, Connor Ellory.

A visit from Aunt Emily and Uncle Will

Emily and Will came by yesterday to see Connor and spend some time with her.  They don't get to see her that often so they wanted to stay for a while.  Lulu was here as well and Connor just loved her!  I think it is because she is so small because Connor doesn't get this excited every time she see Oscar.

Connor loves to have books read to her so she was paying close attention to the detail of the book when Aunt Emily was reading to her.

She also loves puzzles and will spend an hour taking out the pieces and putting them back in...
